Eric Flohr is the Chief Operating Officer of Cairn RE Holdings, a residential real estate firm creating a seamless transaction experience for both consumers and agents by providing an integrated service platform. At Cairn, Eric is responsible for working with Cairn’s operating brokerages to successfully execute customized strategies in local markets to drive market share, building and scaling Cairn’s ancillary service strategy, and overseeing centralized functions such as technology and HR. Currently Cairn’s brokerages have 4,500 real estate agents in over 70 offices. In 2022, Cairn’s brokerages closed 25,000 home sales for $10B in volume.
Prior to joining Cairn, Eric held a variety of senior leadership roles at Berkadia Commercial Mortgage, the leading multifamily agency lender in the US. Eric was heavily involved in setting Berkadia’s growth strategy, led the enterprise-wide digital transformation, launched the company’s proptech accelerator, conducted due diligence and integration for several acquisitions, grew an acquired proptech start-up from $1M to over $20M in revenue, and oversaw multiple operational improvement programs. Prior to joining Berkadia, Eric worked for a family investment office focused on the Middle East and Africa, and at Deloitte Consulting where he advised global manufacturing companies in growth strategies.
Eric is a sought-after speaker on real estate, proptech, and digital transformation related topics. He has co-authored several articles and will soon be the co-author of the second edition of Thrive: How Realtors® Can Succeed in Any Market. Eric has a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) with Honors from the Haas School of Business at the University of California Berkeley and a Bachelor’s of Science in Finance from Penn State University.
